You have come to the right place! My name is Arie Deller, and I am a licensed, certified, insured Professional Dog Trainer, full member of the APDT, specializing in working with behavior problems in dogs. With almost twelve years of experience, including work with assistance dogs, I have worked with almost every issue, and met every type of dog. I welcome the opportunity to train your dog to be the loving, well-mannered friend that you need.
 
Services Provided by Arie's Dog Training:

Private sessions are ideal for but not limited to:
  • Puppy training
      - house-training
      - mouthing issues
      - destructive behavior
  • Anxiety issues, such as:
      - separation anxiety
      - general anxiety
  • Behavior modification, such as:
     - aggressive behavior
     - destructive behavior
     - possessive behavior
     - fearful behavior
 
In-home private training sessions include:
  • Consultation with you and your dog at your home
  • Observation of the problem behavior
  • Explanations about the exhibited problem behaviors
  • Written and verbal advice about fixing the behaviors
  • Demonstrations on how to work with the dog
  • Follow-up call or email
 
Pricing:
$80 per one hour session, two sessions for $150, or three for $199. (Tax not included).
ShareUsually only one to two sessions are needed, depending on the issue at hand. If more than one session is needed, the sessions are typically scheduled two to four weeks apart, with behavior homework for you and your dog to work on between sessions. Private sessions may be held at your home or at a nearby park or dog park, depending on what your dog needs work on.

BasicPlus Obedience Class: 
The Most Fun You'll Have With Your Dog in a Basic Class!
 
Dogs will learn: Sit, down, stand, stay, come, wait, heel, leave it, and watch. Dogs will also learn: Impulse control, listen around distractions, patience, and how to behave around other dogs.
You will learn: Basic canine Ethology, about basic canine nutrition, how to manage basic behavior problems such as mouthing, digging, jumping, etc., how to correctly introduce your dogs to other dogs and new people, common training methods, and more.
This class also focuses on socialization between the dogs/puppies in class. Families and children are welcome to assist the dog's main handler in class. Many references available from previous clients.
Seven weeks for $115 + tax. Limit 8 dogs.

Tricks 101 Class: (NEW!)
Forget Sit... It's Time for Some Fun!!
Want a trickster in the family? This fun class is great for the active dog or puppy, and perfect for strengthening the bond between you and your dog. Families and children are welcome to participate. Tricks taught in this class include: Shake (left and right), wave, spin, roll over, sit pretty, bone-on-the-nose, place, jump, etc. Classes meet for one hour each week for the duration of the class. Four weeks for $50 + tax. Limit 8 dogs. 
 
*Dogs must know basic commands before taking this class.
 
 
Tricks 102 Class: (NEW!)
Bring on the Tricks!
Ready for more? If your dog has mastered the tricks learned in Tricks 101 and is begging for more, then jump into Tricks 102! Families and children are welcome to participate in this class.
Tricks taught in this class include: Shut the door, hold, get the paper, play dead, crawl, figure 8, paws up, etc.
Classes meet for one hour each week for the duration of the class. Four weeks for $50 + tax. Limit 8 dogs.

Intermediate Obedience Class
Taking It All a Step Further
Curriculum includes: Formality of basic commands, positioning, off-leash work, distraction work, and more. More advanced canine behavior will also be discussed. Great for the basic-class graduate, looking for more advanced work or simply to continue with classes. Classes meet for one hour each week for the duration of the class. One class will be held "out and about" to work on commands/behavior in new places and around distractions.
Seven weeks for $115 + tax. Limit 7 dogs.
 
 
AKC Canine Good Citizen Class: 
Is Your Dog a Good Citizen? 
This is an AKC program designed to recognize well-mannered dogs who can be welcomed by society. There are ten test items (all of which are fairly simple) and a final test on the last week. Dogs who pass will receive a personalized certificate from AKC. For more info please visit: http://www.AKC.org/events/cgc/.

Therapy-Dog Prep Class:
Making a Difference
This is a class to prepare your dog to be tested, evaluated, and registered through a Therapy Dog organization. A therapy dog is one who is registered to visit hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, etc. for the benefit of people. This course focuses on basic commands and manners, some CGC work (see above), building confidence for new situations, socialization, and gereral preparation to become a therapy dog. This is a great class to make a difference with your dog.
Six weeks for $75 + tax. Limit 6 dogs.

In-Home Boarding
 
Boarding is $40 per day ($20/half-days), and includes:
 
- In-home boarding with indoor/outdoor access
- Cage-free (besides the dog sleeping in his/her crate at night)
- Socialization to new people and other animals
- Daily living with at least two other dogs
- Daily exercise (fetch, walks, or play with the other dogs)
- Feeding schedule of your choice (owner provides food)
- Daily treats and/or bones of your choice (owner-provided)
- Medications administered (if needed) at no extra cost
- Daily "check-ins" to owner via email, text, or phone, with optional pictures included in texts/emails
 
*Note: Dogs must be ok with cats unless prior arrangements are made.
Discounts are available for longer than fourteen-day stays.
 
In-Home Board-and-Training
 
Board-and-Training includes:
- In-home boarding with indoor/outdoor access
- Socialization to new people, other animals, and new dogs
- Daily living with at least two other dogs
- Daily exercise (fetch, walks, jogs, or dog park)
- Feeding schedule of your choice (owner provides food)
- Daily treats of your choice (owner provides treats)
- Daily manner training ("house manners," "meal manners," etc.)
- Daily basic obedience (sit, down, wait, heel, come, stay, etc.)
- Daily behavior training (specific to each individual dog's needs)
- Daily "check-ins" to owner via email, text, or phone, with optional pictures included in texts/emails
- Medications administered (if needed) at no extra cost
- Two to three 45-minute follow-up sessions after the board-and-train (one at my home, one at your home, and optional mid-boarding session to ease the transition of the training)
 
Board-and-train packages are custom to each individual client, and prices vary depending on package needed. Packages start at $800 for two weeks, (~$57 per day) and include boarding fees and all of the above. Multiple-dog discounts are available for two or more dogs.
